The Father's heart

Good morning everyone. Welcome to Manna online. I've been thinking more lately about what our Father desires.

Very briefly, a partial list includes: --Reconciling man back to Him through Jesus. We have this ministry of reconciliation, (2 Cor. 5:18-19). --He desires a kingdom of priests (Rev. 5:9-10), who minister to Him first. --He desires a bride worthy of His beloved son. --He desires a family of mature sons to properly represent Jesus on the earth. This involves us maturing as a corporate church as we see in Eph. 4:11-16. --Rebuilders who will co-labor with the Spirit to build according to the heavenly pattern, not what man has often done in the modern church.

Jesus instructs us in Mt. 6:9-10, using the "Lord's Prayer"--we are to worship the Father first (as in Ps. 100), then we are to pray that His kingdom (rule, power) and His will (desires, purposes) be done here on earth just as they are done in heaven.

He has given us Life in His Son Jesus. He has given us His Spirit to enable us. He has given us His Word to feed us. Our part in this? Love Him; find out what is on His heart and pray and do that.

Drop us an email if you have comments or prayer requests.

Be blessed,

Danny
